Research suggests coffee may extend longevity

The Guardian reports that a recent study has suggested that drinking coffee regularly may extend longevity.

449,563 people were questioned as part of the study, which then followed up with them 12 years later. The statistics then suggested that drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day provided between an 11% and 27% lower likelihood of death due to improved cardiovascular health. The figures varied for the type of coffee - instant had the lowest impact at 11%, decaf was 14% and ground coffee was the clear winner at 27%.
