Nine myths about tea debunked

The Clitheroe Advertiser have penned an interesting article debunking some of the common myths surrounding ‘the humble cup of tea’.

It turns out that the tea bag was not a British invention, but an American one, with customers deciding to just brew their tea inside the small sample bags they had been given.

Also debunked is the common myth that you can store tea for as long as you like – freshness can matter and studies have shown a marked decrease, after just six months, in the antioxidants contained in certain types of tea.
