Coffees link to gut health

The Guardian have looked at the link between coffee and gut health. Coffee can apparently aid digestion by stimulating gut muscles, helping food move through the system, which is beneficial for sluggish digestion but potentially problematic for those with irritable bowel syndrome. Additionally, coffee contains fibre and polyphenols that support a healthy gut microbiome. However, experts advise drinking it before noon to avoid sleep disruption, which negatively impacts gut health.
