A study published in Scientific Reports reveals that drinking coffee within the first 2.5 hours of waking provides the strongest boost to your mood. Researchers found that caffeine effectively blocks adenosine receptors to combat morning grogginess. A smaller emotional lift was also observed 10 to 12.5 hours after waking.
