The role of tea in the NHS at 70

iNews have taken a look at the role of tea in the NHS, which recently celebrated its 70th birthday and marked it with a number of tea-parties.

Apparently patients used to be regularly roused from their sleep before 6 a.m. for their early morning tea, which was often brought round on a dedicated tea trolley. Whilst tea may not be quite as integral today, it remains a staple drink on many wards.
